Kenrick's Meat Market and Catering is a small little market on Bayless or Weber road close to I-55 in South St. Louis County. It looks like they specialize in meats and small groceries. We went there for lunch and they have a little deli and sandwich stand with about 8 tables to sit and eat. The menu is loaded with different sandwiches like the special, loaded roast beef, chicken and bacon sandwiches, hot sandwiches. They have some good looking sides as well like baked macaroni and cheese, and mashed potatoes and gravy.
I ordered the country fried steak sandwich. This was a country fried steak with white gravy on a hoagie roll. This thing was delicious. For a side order I got the mashed potatoes and gravy. The mashed potatoes and gravy were ok, but the country fried steak sandwich was great. I definitely recommend going there for lunch and ordering one of there sandwiches. You have to get there early though, because this place gets a little crowded. This is a must eat lunch spot for me. What made it even better is the prices. My sandwich only cost me $4.89 where else can you get a great tasting HOT sandwich for this price. Next time I go, I am going to get a ribeye steak sandwich, which they have on the menu for a low $5.89. Is there anywhere else you can get a steak sandwich for that cheap?

Prices: Cheap. $6.25 for a country fried steak sandwich and some mashed potatoes.

Great Steak and Potato Company is Restaurant of the Day for July 30 in St. Louis
Great Steak and Potato Company is in the food court in South County mall and they also have one in West County mall as well. They do not offer much to eat. They have a philly steak sandwich, chicken philly, gyros, baked potatoes, and fries. I have not eaten at this place in a while, but I remember it being very good.
I ordered the philly steak sandwich and was dissapointed. Maybe because I compared it to Penn Station, and this sandwich is not even close to Penn Station's Philly steak sandwich. For the meat it looked like they used a thin cut of meat like a "Steak-um", and the bread was not that great. I could tell that Penn Station uses high quality ingredients, because The Great Steak Company's sandwich did not compare.
When you are at a food court in a mall it is all about choices. I don't think I will be choosing this place to eat next time I am in the food court. There was something new that I saw in the Food Court at South County Center, and it was called D. Bubs ballpark grill, or something like that. I didn't look that closely but I wonder if they charge ballpark prices?
Prices: $7 for a sandwich, fries and a drink

Psghetti’s Pasta and Sandwiches is a small family place in South County. They are best known for their bread that has a little sweetness to it. It is different but it makes their sandwiches and garlic bread taste so good. This place has all of the Italian pasta favorites from, spaghetti, mostaccioli, garlic bread. In addition to those they also have pizza bread, roast beef sandwiches, sub sandwiches, toasted raviolis, and much more. P’sghetti’s is a place where you order at the counter and then they will call your number when your food is ready. I ordered the hot roast beef sandwich with a side of au jus. The bread makes this sandwich unlike any other roast beef sandwich. The sandwich is very cheesy and very good.
Prices: Prices are reasonable for the food you get. An order of pasta is less than five dollars and you can get a side of garlic bread for a couple of bucks. I recommend going to P’sghetti’s and getting something with the bread.
